WHAT IS LIGHT?
• God’s response to the confusion, chaos and challenges which were present was light.
• God originates from light.
What is Light?
1. Light is illumination (revelation).
2. Light is understanding (enlightment) in an area of life (Eph 1:17-18)
3. Direction
• If men have no access to the life of God, they are in darkness.
• Wherever light is shining, darkness has been taken out.
• What we call life is actually light(Ps 27:1).
Ac 27:23-25, 34-35, Jam 1:17, Is 60:1-3, 18-20
• When you pray to God, expect that He will answer you with light.
• When God says your light has come, you must make sure to contend for that light.
• That your light has come doesn’t mean your story has changed already, you have to play your part.
• It was Hannah’s responsibility to not be sad anymore after receiving the word from Eli the Prophet.
• It was Paul’s responsibility to not fear in the midst of the storm after an angel appeared to him.
• People have no difficulty doing what everyone else is doing but it becomes a problem to do something that is opposite to what everyone else is doing.
• Complaining brings the devil into your situation while joy brings God into the situation.
• When someone comes to complain to you, don’t join their complaining, instead you must respond, “God is doing a new thing, rejoice, it is well with you.”
• Don’t wait for other people who have not seen the light to confess with you, otherwise you’ll perish with them.
• Instead of praying for many things, it’s better to pray for light which can change what needs to be changed.
• Mourning is associated with darkness.
• The Holy Spirit is the administrator of our inhertiance in Christ, His duty is to give us light to see something.
• Ambition is what you want while vision is God’s plan as it relates to you.
• God has good thoughts but the problem is that we don’t know what they are and we don’t engage the Holy Spirit to know them.
