1 Sam 4:1-4, 5:1-9, 7:3
• The presence of God is maintained when you keep the ways of God.
• The power of God is hidden in the ways of God.
• If you don’t keep the ways of God, you’re a candidate for defeat.
• Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with God.
• When you face defeat, you have gone far away from God.
• As christians it is our duty to keep checking whether we are still walking with God.
• God’s word never lies, if we’re facing anything different, the problem is not God but us.
• If you’re not experiencing the power of God, it is not God’s fault but your fault.
• The word of God should be given a platform to manifest.
• When you decide to go in your own way, you have alienated yourself from the way of God.
Pro 14:12, Jn 14:6
• God participates when you walk in the way of life not in the way of death.

What triggers the power of the word of God?
1. Faith in the word (Heb 11:1, 6)
2. Obedience to the word of God (Jm 1:19-24, Deut 4:3-4)

3. Alignment with the demands of your new identity (Rom 12:1-2)
• Live with the consciousness that God has rescued you from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light.
• Your new identity has demands.
• You need to give up your old ways and identify yourself as a new man.
• Many christians pray and fast but their ways reject the power of God.
• As a new creation, you need to be transformed and renewed.
• When you conform to the world, you are rejecting your new identity.

4. Walking in the ways and observing the instructions of the word as commanded (Jos 1:8, Lk 5:1-6, Mat 4:4)
• The victory of a believer is tied to the integrity of the word of God.
• Obedience to God’s word is the capital price for the manifestation of the blessing.
• God’s blessings are not free but are products of the obedience of faith.
• The revealed word of God is our covenant platform for dominion.
• Revelation is the bedrock of our glorious manifestation as children of God.
• Revelation is being able to see and do what God is saying currently.
• Revelation can be termed as a rhema word.
• Don’t compare yourself with what others are doing, you don’t know their terms and conditions
• It is possible to go through a season and not benefit from it because you have not believed in the word.
• When the word is preached to you, don’t argue with the word.
• When you believe, God is mandated to perform what He has said.
• The word of God has power but it needs to be believed.
• If you want to see the manifestation of the power of God, follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit
• The greatest way God will lead you is through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Ps 103:7
• Pay attention to the promptings of the spirit, they will save you from calamity.
• Endeavour at all costs to follow the promptings of the Spirit if you are to see His power in your life.
