WHY DO WE NEED THE SPIRIT OF POWER?
1. To subdue, dominate, silence and put the enemy under our feet (Psa 110:1-3, Mark 4:35-5:2).
• You rule by the spirit of power, not by speaking English.
• When power is present, there is a willingness.
• The devil that wants to stop people from relating with you is dislodged.
• The devil can stop any one of your destiny helpers on their way to you and you will be left wondering what is happening.
• When you are in charge, people will be willing.
• People don’t buy things because they are nearer to where they are.
• Whatever it takes to get power, get it.
• No matter what they plan, when you are in charge, the power of God will nullify their agenda.

2. To set the captives free (Isa 61:1, 2 Chron 22:7)
3. To break the gates of hell (Zec 4:6, Acts 16:25-26)
4. For signs and wonders (Luke 4:18, 5:8, 26, John 4:48)
• Signs and wonders make people to believe God.
• Signs and wonders are the sickles of harvest.
5. To clear enemies on the way to our destinies (1 Cor 16:9)

HOW DO I ACCESS AND GROW IN POWER?

1. PRAYING (Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8)
2. FASTING (Luke 4:14, Mat 17:19-21, 2 Sam 3:1, Gen 49:19)
• Everyone must fast because we all have destinies to fulfill.
• The more you pray and fast, you will be entrusted with more authority, in addition to power.
• Some battles of life are not instant battles, we have to keep growing while our enemies are getting weaker and weaker.
• Most people are facing long wars.
• You must be determined to keep growing in power.

3. OBEDIENCE (Acts 10:38, John 5:30, 8:29)
4. THE WORD OF GOD (Ezek 2:2)
5. THIRST (Psa 63:1-3)

THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT
Mic 3:8, Judg 14:6, Eph 3:16, Joel 2:1-10, 1 Kings 18:46
• The purpose of the spirit of might is to strengthen us.
• He is the one that gives us strength when we are weak.
• Church growth is work.
• Anything to do with work will require the spirit of might.

• What will make your body last on the prayer altar so that you can last in prayer is the spirit of might.
• You can call the spirit of might an immunity booster.
• What you call long life is a function of strength.
• In the absence of strength, you may not live long.
• The spirit of might will cause you to survive.
• You need the spirit of might to sustain you on the prayer altar.
• You need the spirit of might to sustain you in the harvest field.
• This spirit makes you to move from strength to strength.
• You need this spirit in every area of your life.
• The spirit of might will determine how early or late you die.
• You need your body in tip-top condition to do the work of God.
Mat 26:40-41
• Prayer is hard work but it is hard work that is done through the flesh (your body).
• The strengthener of your flesh to make you last in prayer is the spirit of God.
• Moses lasted forty days and night with God by reason of the spirit of might.
Luke 22:43
• The strengthening of your body affects the mind in a positive way.
• Your body is the one that carries your spirit.
• As long as your body is strong, you will do business for God here on earth.
• Your spirit can’t hang around here without your body.
• Self-control is attached to the spirit of might.
