KEEPING THE WORD OF GOD
Deut 16:17-21, 5:1, Mat 7:24-27
• What we do with the things we hear (the word of God) is determining the kind of destiny we are building.
• There will be tests for every single thing that we build.
• No one faces a bigger devil or a smaller devil, it is how prepared we are for such moments that .
• Learning may not take place immediately as you are listening to the word of God.
• You are said to have learnt something if you are able to do it.
• You can’t say you have learnt simply because you heard something.
• You can’t say you have learnt how to drive a car just because you entered a car.
• To learn something is to understand it such that you are able to do it.
• Keeping has to do with keeping that which you have learnt in your thinking.
• We keep the word of God by thinking and speaking it.
Jos 1:8
• Many people have not learnt how to cancel wrong thoughts because they don’t know the power of speaking.
• You don’t cancel a wrong thought with a correct thought.
• It is speaking that kills a thought.
• It is important to listen to the word of God time and again.
• A verbalised word enters you faster than one that you read silently.
• When you hear the word, it may be general but when you speak it you personalise it.
• Learn, keep, do.
Lk 8:11, 15
• The word will be tested, there will be circumstances that will test your faith.
• You can ran for anything you want to run for but if you don’t have the word of God, it will show.
• Not having the word of God will leave you naked.
• Nobody looks at your leg and decides if they should favour you or not.
• Your ID is not your leg, it’s your face.
• Satan deals with the face.
• Those who don’t like you know you by your face.
• Recognition is by face.
