• Don’t confuse needs for sacrifices.
• Sacrifice doesn’t benefit God but the one sacrificing.

• In sacrifice, you aim to gain the honour or acceptance of the one you are sacrificing to.
• It is possible for a sacrifice to be rejected.
• If your sacrifice doesn’t move you, how do you expect it to move God?
• Sacrifice is the central theme in all scripture that reveals a person’s faith, devotion and honour to God.
Things to know about sacrifice
1. Sacrifice establishes a covenant with God.
a. It connects to divine blessings (Ps 50:5)
b. God honours those who sacrifice to Him (Gen 4:4, Mal 3:10)
c. Sacrifices demonstrates our faith and trust in God’s ability to reward us (Heb 11:6)
d. True sacrifice costs us something (Gen 22, Numbers 25:8, 10-13)
