• Accessing God’s help is God stepping into your situation to accomplish what is humanly impossible.
John 2:1-11, Ex 14:15-22, Jos 6:1-27, Luke 5:1-7
Why is God’s help superior to the help of man?
1. God is the most reliable help a man needs (Psa 46:1-2)
• Humans can be hindered from offering help by circumstances.
• Humans can change their minds.
2. God’s help is the most available help a man can need (it is always available) (Psa 46:1, Mal 3:6)
3. God is the most durable help (Mal 3:6)
• Man can help you, but for how long?
• For example, your uncle could be the one paying your school fees but pass away before you complete your program.
• The end of a man’s health or resources could be the end of your help.
4. God’s help is the most comfortable help a man can receive (Phili 4:19)
• You could be looking for K10000 but the person that offers to help you only has K1000. That help is not comfortable.
5. God’s help is the most knowledgeable kind of help (John 6:5-6, Dan 2:11, 19, Luke 22:31)
• God knows everything.
• Help is not only financial, you could be looking for a way out of something or answers to questions.
• The devil is not all-knowing.
• The devil doesn’t even know why you could be smiling, he can only suspect.
• God has given us the Holy Spirit, the custodian of all knowledge.
• Whenever you are helped, you will arrive at your destination early (Exo 2:18-21)
• The devil will only win when you get discouraged and quit.
• God’s help is the maker of all men.
What is the importance of help from above?
1. For stability and sustainability in destiny fulfillment (Psa 127:1, Acts 26:22, John 15:5)
• Unless God is behind your destiny, it is in vain.
• It is not enough for God to make you prosper, he needs to sustain you because devils will attack you.
• Breakthroughs attracts battles and you need God to protect you because it could be the reason why you die young.
• The devil can never be said to be a sustainer.
• God is both a giver and a sustainer.
• To be blessed and not be sustained in the blessing is like starting a fight you have no weapons to win.
• Every good thing attracts the anger of the devil in the life of that believer.
• Only a spirit can guarantee sustenance of a covenant.
2. To conquer fear (Heb 13:6)
• Fear is the opposite of faith and can kill destiny when it is present in the life of a man.
3. To overcome reproach and shame (Isa 50:7-8)
4. To achieve speedy success (2 Chr 26:5, 6, 15, Ezra 5:2)
5. In order to experience joy (Ps 146:5)
6. To give victory in times of battle (1 Sam 7:9-12)
7. Deliverance from valleys of death (1 Chr 15:26, Psa 23:6)
8. The ability to give us strength to succeed (2 Chr 26:15, Psa 89:19)
