• Nothing that is appreciated for depreciates.
• To be thankful is to gain value.
• To be unthankful is to lose value.
• You can’t maintain anything good that has come from the hand of God without thanksgiving.
• To be unthankful is a serious risk because it can turn one’s glory into shame, promotion into demotion, long life into premature death.
• Thanksgiving is a sign of honour.
• Ingratitude also manifests itself in certain actions you would miss if you are not discerning.

What is thanksgiving?
1. Ascribing glory to God (Jer 17:13-17)
2. Acknowledging God as the one behind good things in your life (John 3:27, James 1:17, 1 Cor 4:7)
3. Public celebration of God’s acts (Ps 103:2)
4. Recounting God’s kindness in our lives (Ps 105:1-5, 92:4)
5. Appreciating God in the present situation in order to turn it into a testimony (John 11:39-44, Ps 107:22)
• Thanksgiving is not only for what God has done but it is thanksgiving God for what He has promised to do because He is faithful.
• Thanksgiving is more powerful and faster than intercession.
