EMPOWERMENT FOR FLIGHT THROUGH PRAYER AND FASTING [PART 3]

The reason why we seek God is because we don’t know where to go and what to do.

Prayer and fasting is an act of humility.

God gives grace to the humble and opposes the proud.

If you depend on your own strength, as far as God is concerned, you are proud.

Hebrews 11:6, Isaiah 45:19, Matthew 6:17

It is not enough to just believe God’s character and nature but you must also believe that God is one who rewards those that seek Him.

There is a reward for seekers of God.

There is no genuine seeking that is in vain, there is a reward for seeking.

The work of the Spirit in you is also the work of Jesus in you.

God doesn’t reward everybody that seeks.

Your seeking must be qualified – it is a diligent seeking that qualifies to be rewarded.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE FAST (CONTINUATION)?

6) IT LEADS TO DESTRUCTION OF YOKES AND BONDAGES.

[Isaiah 58:6, 10:27, 6:1, 3-7, Jeremiah 1:6-8, Exodus 4:12, John 1:12]

What we call an addiction is a yoke.

What gives direction to where the head looks is the neck.

When the enemy puts a yoke on your neck, he decides where you go and he decides what you look at; you don’t have the freedom.

People are forced to do what they don’t like because of yokes.

In the spirit realm voices walk, voices do things.

How does God send people? He gives words, but those words need to have power so that they are respected.

7) EMPOWERMENT TO HIGHER LEVELS

 [Ezekiel 47:1-5, Deuteronomy 1:11, Luke 11:2, 20-22, Psalm 74:4, Isaiah 58:6]

When your anointing/empowerment comes to river-level, you can have results all the time, anytime.

The Kingdom of God is demonstrated by power.

In the absence of power, men can’t get saved.

It takes power to convict men.

The Holy Spirit is the principal agent of power.

The Holy Spirit converts the word of God into power.

To be resisted today isn’t final.

Satan doesn’t grow in power, if you can grow in power you will overrun him.

Every time you pray, study the word with understanding, you are changing levels.

If you are a consistent man on your prayer altar, you are growing very fast.

Prayer and fasting is one area that allows you to grow.

Prayer is the engine for growth.

8) FACILITATES EXPRESS ANSWERS TO PRAYERS [Isaiah 58:8-9, 2 Chronicles 20:17

9) IT FACILITATES NEXT LEVELS OF SANCTIFICATION. [Psalm 34:18, Psalm 66:19, Isaiah 58:8, Romans 14:12, Zechariah 3:1]

Sanctification is being set apart for God, holiness, practical righteousness.

If you can’t stop the devil causing you to sin, then He has hindered answers to your prayers.

Sanctification is also in levels.

Sanctification is the foundation for walking with God.

If your righteousness goes before you, it will invite glory.

Prayerlessness breeds sin.

Prayerlessness is the fertilizer for sin or careless living.

There is a direct relationship between prayerlessness and sinning.

10) IT FACILITATES RESTORATION [Joel 2:12, 18, 23-25, Job 42:10, Isaiah 58:12]

Restoration also takes place when there are declarations made in that effect.

If nobody declares restoration it won’t happen.

11) PRAYER AND FASTING FACILITATES TERMINATION OF CURSES AND AVERTS JUDGMENT

[Isaiah 58:10, 2 Kings 22:15-20, 1 Kings 21:27, Ecclesiastes 5:1-4]

Groping in darkness, being in obscurity is a manifestation of a curse.

Curses are the major challenges of mankind.

Destruction of curses is not a one-off thing, just like deliverance.

As long as we are here on earth, we’ll need deliverance.

Sacrifice also terminates curses and judgment.

Satan fights anything that will make you free.

PROPHETIC DECREES:

AS YOU ARE SEEKING HIM, YOU ARE GOING FAR.
